The University  of Utah  is a public coeducational institution established in 1850 by the General Assembly of the provisional State of Desert, making it Utah’s oldest institution of higher education in salt lake city, Utah , United States. The University  of Utah  has a academic affiliation of Utah System of Higher Education.

The University of  Utah is a public flagship four-year research university accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1933. The University organizes its 150 academic departments and programs into 17 colleges and schools.

The university ranks among the top 50 U.S. universities by total research expenditures with over $518 million spent in 2015. What is Cis Utah

Campus information services (CIS), is an online application you use to access everything from your paycheck to your class schedule is finally getting a new look. A convenient start-up guide is available for users in the UIT Knowledge Base.

Visually-cluttered lists of links will be replaced by clickable tiles with intuitive icons. The home pages and subsequent tiles are dedicated to user roles, functional areas, and common themes. For example, in addition to the student and employee pages, the new CIS offers a “Financial Services” page with links to finance applications; a “Faculty and Research” page with links to resources for faculty, graduate students, and principal investigators; and a “University Resources” page with links to applications and services common to all campus users (e.g. Marriott Library, Campus Map or Shuttle Tracker). Users may add or remove optional link tiles on any of their pages, and can create their own custom home pages with the tiles they use most.

How to Login to Cis Utah

Students can enroll and login into the CIS Utah and explore further courses and learn online.This online learning is very much helpful for the students and faculty.

Steps to be followed to login.

  1. Enter  www.cis.utah.edu in the browser and click enter .

You will be redirected to the above page.

  1. Enter the university network ID given to you by university.
  2. The first time you sign in, you will use the default password which is your birth date in the format mmddyy.
  3. As soon as you enter your password and click the “Go” button, you should see the “Change Password” screen.
  4. Your new password must be at least 8 characters or more.
  5. Your new password may not match the first 8 characters of your previous 6 passwords (if you had a previous login & password for CIS).
  6. For security purposes, your password is required to have three (3) of these four elements in the first 8 characters:

a number

a symbol, such as $, &, @, %, _, *

a lowercase letter

a capital letter

Your password may not contain slashes (/).

  1. Click on login button.

Forgot Password of Cis Utah

Incase , you have problem in creating the password or you have forgotten the password, you need to follow the below steps.

  1. Visit the login page.
  2. Go to Forgot your  password option available adjacent to the password box.
  3. Click the forgot your password.
  4. A new reset password page appears.
  5. Enter your university network ID.
  6. Enter the new password.
  7. Renter the new password.
  8. Click ok button at the bottom.

How to do CIS Login

  1. To login into CIS Utah, visit the website www.cis.utah.edu
  2. Enter the uNID.
  3. Enter the password.
  4. Finally click on login button.
